- "DREAMBOAT" American culture had a major impact on young people in the UK in the 1950s. The theme for this project was "DREAMBOAT," a coined word that represents the ideal image of a man and the movie stars who were at the heart of American culture and the objects of admiration.
- It evokes the image of the people living in a British port town in an era of cultural exchange, and the style that was born there, unconstrained by nationality.
- While based on classic styles, we combine elements of clothing from various countries and throughout history to create a new piece through our own filter. This collection embodies the IGARASHI TROUSERS way of thinking when it comes to clothing creation.
- The pattern uses a new tapered silhouette that has been updated this fall, and the rise, knees, and hem width are more in line with modern sensibilities. In addition, every detail has been improved to make it more comfortable to wear and fit better when worn.
- This model is based on a new tapered silhouette pattern, and by raising the center back height slightly, the balance has been adjusted to make the high back design easy to wear every day without hesitation.
- The most distinctive feature of this obi is the width of 5.0cm, which is 1.0cm wider than usual, and the two buttons on the opening make the most of the wider obi width, creating a powerful front design. It is not overly wide, and is a design that is easy to wear in everyday life.
- By using two pleats and a button fly at the front, we focused on classic details that make the most of the texture of the fabric.
- The V-shaped slit at the back of the obi and the suspender buttons on the outside go well with suspenders, and also act as a great accent when tucked in without suspenders.
- There are six suspender buttons as standard: two on the inside of the obi at the front and two on the outside of the obi at the center back, so it can be used with button-type suspenders. Also, because it is a beltless design, you can tighten the side adjuster to fine-tune your waist size.
- The back of the obi is designed to open with a V-shaped slit, and compared to the standard IGARASHI TROUSERS model, the specially designed side adjuster is wider downwards, allowing you to pull the bottom of the obi in and adjust the size. Therefore, even though it is a beltless design, it has a high fit.
- The right pocket has a loop button closure, which is not only stylish but also practical as it keeps the contents of the pocket from spilling out.
Fabric
- Made with napped wool from Kuzuri Woolen Textiles, a long-established fabric manufacturer in Oshu.
- The black, gray, and white color scheme and subtle neps throughout the fabric create a textured look, giving it a warm feel. It also has excellent heat retention, making it perfect for the cold season.
- Although the fabric has a weight of 394g/m2, which is not too heavy, it still has a solid appearance and goes well with jackets and outerwear made of heavier materials.
- The fabric is moderately stiff and durable, so you can wear them comfortably every day and enjoy them for a long time.
- The fabric itself has a slight stretch.
