TOP 3 RECOMMENDED FABRICS FOR SHORTS

"ORDER JOURNEY" is a series introducing memorable episodes we encounter while assisting our customers daily. This time, to celebrate the start of MTM shorts orders, we will introduce classic fabrics carefully selected by our staff.

We will rate the classic status on a five-star scale, based on staff's subjective opinions and customer feedback. There is no single "correct" fabric. However, the optimal choice varies from person to person depending on the wearing occasion and preferred styling. We hope that the staff ratings presented below will help you find your best pair.

LINEN

When it comes to summer shorts, many people probably think of linen first. In addition to linen's inherent breathability, the airflow from the hem unique to shorts creates an ultimately cool and comfortable feel.

Linen shorts are not just for resort wear. Depending on the color and fit you choose, they can seamlessly blend into urban styles. For those considering their first pair, this is a classic material we unhesitatingly recommend.

ULTRASUEDE

As a new standard for shorts, Ultrasuede boasts overwhelming popularity both domestically and internationally. This material, created by Toray, a leading Japanese comprehensive material manufacturer, receives particularly many orders at IGARASHI TROUSERS.

While the fabric's breathability itself is not exceptionally high, it offers a softness and ease of handling not found in real leather. There's no concern about fading or color transfer, and it's resistant to wrinkles, making its ease of care another attractive feature. The wide range of color variations also makes choosing enjoyable.

COTTON

For the third recommendation, we suggest cotton, a material that has long been a beloved staple at IGARASHI TROUSERS. It pairs well with all models, including side adjusters and gurkhas, and can accommodate a wide range of styling.
